The Lotus Co., Ltd., owner of Korea's leading clean & vegan cosmetics brand The Pure Lotus, announced that it has signed an exclusive contract worth USD100,000 and a partnership MOU with French buyer Melissa Jay to pursue joint research and global cooperation.


The agreement follows initial discussions at Cosmoprof Bologna in March and marks a significant milestone in the company’s overseas expansion. During the visit to Jeju, the French delegation toured The Lotus’s production and research bases, including the Jeju Technopark cosmetics factory, the Biodiversity Research Institute, and cultivation sites for Jeju native plants used as signature ingredients.


The buyer also visited Mona & Co., the official retail partner of The Pure Lotus, where they experienced treatment programs featuring exclusive haircare and skincare lines. Impressed by the quality and concept, they commented: “The combination of Jeju’s pristine raw materials and The Lotus’s clean & vegan philosophy gives the brand strong competitiveness in France. We aim to build a distinctive identity beyond the K-beauty trend.”


A spokesperson for The Lotus stated, “This collaboration provided an opportunity to showcase Jeju’s natural resources and K-beauty technology firsthand. We will continue to expand global networks and raise the value of Jeju’s cosmetics industry worldwide.”


Based on its clean-vegan philosophy, The Pure Lotus is seeing strong growth in Europe, currently distributed across nine countries including Lithuania, Greece, and the Benelux region. The brand plans to further strengthen its global presence through active export marketing.
