Korean Air has signed a new interline deal in the USA. The Seoul-based national carrier has sealed a new agreement with Virgin America intended to offer passengers a greater number of connections in North America from Korean Air’s trans-Pacific Airbus A380 flights to Los Angeles International Airport, and other schedules services to San Francisco, Seattle and Las Vegas airports.

The latest deal follows a recent interline agreement signed between Korean Air and New York-based JetBlue.

The new interline partnership will enable Korean Air passengers to connect at its four US hubs to California-based Virgin America’s 17 destinations in North America, including New York, Washington DC, Seattle, San Diego, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Dallas–Fort Worth, Chicago and Palm Springs, and the Mexican hubs of Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. Philadelphia will join the network in April. The two airlines will transfer baggage between connecting flights. Interline tickets are now available for purchase via GDS.

“We are delighted to partner with Virgin America to offer more great travel benefits and convenient connection options between Asia and the US,” said Korean Air’s Vice President of Marketing for the Americas, John Jackson. “This agreement represents collaboration between two world-class airlines dedicated to excellence and to offering the most comfortable and convenient way to travel.”

The deal also expands Virgin America’s options in Asia, following existing interline agreements with Virgin Australia, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qantas.
